In 2021, we signed a cooperation agreement with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which is part of the Electricity Distribution Project 4.0 between the governments of Germany and Peru.

With the reforming of the electricity sector, Peru has found in the German cooperation a great ally to identify best practices, especially regarding energy transition. That is why in 2021, we held a series of talks on smart grids with the energy regulators of Germany, Brazil, and Chile.

This reform considers the deployment of smart grids, making it possible to control consumer needs and promote energy efficiency.
