The Forum is a space to facilitate understanding between countries to include this energy intelligence in planning processes in a sustainable manner, considering the energy transition in the region.

Osinergmin has been part of this Forum since its creation in 2018 and has recently participated in a study by ECLAC and the European Union's GET.transform program to generate a regional glossary entitled “Mapping the Scope and Definitions of Integrated Energy Planning for the Transformation of Sustainable Energy in Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Since 2020, a series of virtual seminars have been held, sharing the energy transition plans of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and the Dominican Republic with this network.
